Reno Shotokan Karate started practices in 2021 and officially became a dojo in 2022. We became a karate club in September, 2025, through Truckee Meadows Community College’s Student Government Association (TMCC’s SGA). We are a Recognized Student Organization (RSO), and becoming a karate club allowed us to offer our karate practices for FREE to all TMCC students with at least 1 credit for the semester. You need to be part of TMCC (either as a student, a faculty member, or a staff member) to practice with us.
